It treats a disease or illness by dealing with its symptoms, using medical or surgical methods in order to fix what is wrong. Other forms of healing are generally called as traditional medicine but this could further be classified into several categories. Two of these are traditional and alternative methods of treatment. The former methods are based on ethnic and historically rooted belief. For example, there is the case of herbal medicine or the Chinese acupuncture method. Alternative medicine, on the other hand, refers to the practices and treatments that are used as an alternative to allopathic care.
